If you're using paper towels, just swap them out with clean paper towels. If you're using aspen, just grab the soiled shavings with a paper towel (if you're spot cleaning).
 
what do you guys use to clean the glass in the aquarium when you guys do a thorough cleaning?
 
windex is fine as long as you don't use so much that it's going to soak into the substrate or otherwise become ingested. Snakes don't "breathe through their skin" like amphibians do, so it's less of an issue with reptiles.
 
ok thats exactly what I was wondering. I didnt want to use house hold cleaners unless I was sure they were ok.
