How do you guys weigh your herps?

What's the easiest way to way these guys? With them moving around so much and the average size scales we buy in the stores not being big enough, it makes it a little hard lol. They move like right as you put them on lol.

If you handle your snake for a while they get tired and calm down. If I try to weigh Cheerio right away she shoots right out of the bowl.

My scale has a zero feature. I put the tub on the scale and hit zero. When my snake is calm I put her in the tub and weigh her.

Shes about right at 200g. I put the bin in, zero balanced the scale and put her in.

My male on the other hand, I think is a little on the fat side lol. He doesn't look fat at all though. He weighed in at 1185 grams. He is a 99. 9 years old, maybe its just because hes an older guy?

Which scales are you two using??? I was thinking of getting one myself... with the zero feature in it so I can close the lid and there will be no "chasing snakes" when I try to weigh them all...lol

thanks and cheers,
RebeccaK
