How do you know when you have a kinked corn?

If it is a hatchling, just let it crawl through your fingers and you should feel any abnormalities along the spine if there are any. If it's an adult it can be hard to tell because of all the fat and muscle mass along the back.

What causes a kink?

Lots of different factors. It can be injury, disease, possibly genetics, developmental etc etc etc. Much like scoliosis in humans really.

I noticed my girl has a small kink on her back. It is barely nocticeable but it can be felt when she crawls through my hands. She eats great, moves fine and is overall a happy girl. Just like scolosis in humans, it can often cause no real problems or pain, but should be monitored.
