Cut mice in half? I'm getting a fuzzy out for my 2 new corns, and since they're too small to eat the whole thing I want to cut in half. Now, do I use scissors or a knife?? Some "instructions" please? :shrugs:
 
Is there no way you could feed them a pinkie? If not you could try cutting the fuzzie whilst still frozen, using a very sharp knife(preferbly a scalple or craft knife.)
 
I only have f/t fuzzies at the time... And the feeding schedule is every 4 days...
Will it be all droopy? (I know stupid question) but will all the guts be coming out and stuff?
 
Yes there will be guts coming out if you cut it down the middle. Isn't there any way you can get pinkies?
 
Not really, at my pets store they're $10 for 6 f/t, and well I have no ride to the place since it's 6PM, dark, cold, and my mom is not home... And if I were to get live they would still be too big... :shrugs:

I would really suggest for you to buy them frozen online and get 100 pinkies. That would be easier and cheaper then what you are doing now.

If you could get pinkies tomorrow, it would be easier than feeding them the half of a fuzzy. They won't die if they miss their feeding day. Also, I have never cut one if half so I can't help you there. If you can find pinkies than I would suggest waiting a day or two to get those.
 
I think it's worth a *try*, and if it's just not working I'll get them online or just somehow spend the money at the pet store... I'm going there Monday because my new BP is stubborn and won't eat f/t so I might ask my mom...
 
As long as they have been eating regularly, delaying one feeding by a few or even several days won't do any harm.

No, if you cut them when frozen, when they thaw they will be fine. The best thing to do is take a fresh killed one, cut it, and freeze it right away.
