How long can a baby corn snake go without food? LOST SNAKE

My baby corn snake has been missing for a month and a week, and ate two pinky mice the week before... I want to know if he could be alive somewhere.. I hope he shows up soon.. I imagine he's starving.

I've had problem feeders go 8 or more weeks without eating. It does depend upon what their condition was before they stopped and after that amount of time, the small ones were close to death while larger ones seemed no worse for wear.

on my other forum, the advice seems to be:

A) even non-feeder baby snakes can go months without feeding, and:

B) if you put painters tape along the walls, the snake could 'stick" to it, but it is not sticky enough to harm the snake, use veg oil to help to gently remove the snake from the tape. Also put a line of cornmeal under doors to see "trails" that way you have a decent idea of where in your house he is.

Farmgirl, you are my new hero with all your amazing advice!
Also, to the original poster, My last snake went missing before, a few times actually, and we always found him in between the matress and box spring, Maybe.....set out a plastic container with mice in it that the snake cannot get into, maybe if he is still around he will smell them and come looking for food.

Also.....Check your refrigerator, stove, water heater area, any place like that that they can get up inside that is warm is a perfect hideaway for a snake. might I also suggest, keeping things super quiet, that way if he is around, moving anywhere, you might hear him.

I wish you luck!!!
Let us know if you find him!

Sorry to hear the lil guy is missing in action. No specific amount of time about going w/o feeding but i'd say 6-12 weeks depending on weight and so on. One way I got a BP back one time was that I got out his hide from his tank and sat it out. Sure enough he found his hide and was in it. Best of luck.
