How long in a 10 gallon viv?

I am purchasing a yearling corn next month and was wondering how long I will be able to keep it in a 10 gallon aquarium? I have read a snake shouldn't be more than 2x as long as the viv - is that correct? I'd love to have this solved before I bring her home! Thanks :)

If she's a yearling, why not go ahead and buy her a 20-gallon-long right now and not ever have to worry about changing her home in the future?

I currently have three 2-year-old 3-foot-long snakes each in their own 10 gallon tanks, but these snakes are severely cramped and I need to move them into larger cages, asap. The only thing keeping me from moving them is I have no rack to put them in at the moment (still building it). They are making due, but it's definitely not ideal.

I agree with Amanda a twenty long would be better. There is a good chance that on a good feeding schedule that a yearling will out grow a ten gallon next spring.

I like All-Glass Aquarium's critter cages they have a sliding screen top and are lockable I have a few of these that I use to display my animals. There are several stores in the Lexington area that should carry them.

"As a rough guide you should allow one square foot of floor space for each foot of snake."
I've seen that as a guide several places.

All-Glass Aquarium's critter cages , I recently bought one at petco 20". I really like the locking tops. Great for cornsnakes.

a great 20gal long with locking lid can be bought many places. I bought mine for 50 dollars but then found one on sale for cheaper
