How long to wait between feeding tries?

I have had my 1.5 y/o snake since December with no problems feeding 1/week. Last feeding she refused for the first time, just didn't seem interested. The store said she is a female, but maybe they were wrong and he is going through his winter fast. Or maybe she is getting ready to shed. Her skin seems the same though and her eyes aren't cloudy. I tried to feed her again today (3 days after last try) and no luck. My question is how often should I offer her a mouse? Once a week? And is there any way to save and reuse the refused mouse? I threw away the last two, but if it is OK to refrigerate/refreeze, please let me know. Thanks.

The very few times my corn has refused I left him with the mouse for a couple of hours, failing that I just tried again on the next scheduled date. I feed him every Sunday.

i think how long you wait is fine and i had to refreeze a couple of my pinkies no problems have happened...like gettin sick or anything, i wouldnt refreeze more then once though thats just me...or if been left out to lon, bacteria will start to grow on it if out to long

usually i would try 3 days later to feed him again...if still not eating...wait another 3-4 day...do that again....

Tried again tonight and still no luck. She got her jaws around the head, but then gave up and prowled around the feeding container. I left her alone for a couple hours at that point, but when I came back the mouse was still there. This mouse is the same size as the last 8 she has eaten. I may try to get a few fuzzies to see if something smaller might get her eating again.

I agree with Nanci. Wait 5-7 days before the next feed attempt. I would also go with a smaller mouse as you are thinking. If possible, leave her alone overnight with the mouse. Make sure she is secure if you do this.

just wanted to let everyone know that Moxie finally ate. I guess she just isn't hungry during her shedding cycle. She stopped feeding about 2 or 3 weeks before turning blue, then spent four days blue and 3 days before she finally shed. I tried right after she shed and she ate the mouse in about 5 minutes - record time.
