How many times should I be cleaning my snakes tank every month?

I fall somewhere along the lines of Christen and Josh. Regular spot cleanings, less regular complete cleanings.

The bigger critters I clean more often as their poos are larger and dirty their living space quicker. Spot cleaning works best when the poos are kinda dry as well, just fyi.

i use newspaper so i do a complete clean evry time they poop or pee

everything else holds too much humidity, with aspen, it only got down to 85%

Any snakes I have on newspaper, I change every week. Newspaper is a soy based product and will mold very quickly, which is why it's important to change it every week. If I use aspen or cypress mulch, I spot clean it weekly, and do a complete breakdown monthly. Cypress (especially for Ball Pythons), can be changed every 2nd month, because when they poop it's usually pretty solid and can be removed easily.
