Hello,

I am gettin a corn soon and i dont know how much they are when i had my first last year my mom bought it and it got out and died cause my dad found it on the floor it must have just died because it was warm. But i dont know how much a corn is like a normel corn is. or is their no normel corn. Help

Well, Derek, you can get a normal corn for about $15, without shipping. Shipping, if you buy one online, ends up costing a bit more.

Please, if you're going to get another corn, make sure this one won't die or get out. I'm not sure how many corns you have had, but I get the impression that you've had two or three that have not been cared for as well as they could have been. They're living things and it's cruel to throw them away as if they were objects. So keep researching, get a book, and good luck.

Also, could you try to use a little more punctuation in your posts? I find them hard to read sometimes when I can't tell where sentences end. (I'm asking this in a completely nice way :D) Thanks!

It died because it was warm???

Oh lord please do some research and take proper care of the next one..

Derek,

I'm new to corn snakes (haven't gotten my first one yet), but I am very concerned about you getting another snake. The first thing you need to think about is his viv. How did your snake get out and die? Please make sure you have a secure and appropriate housing for your next snake. Pay very careful attention to this and make the investment to protect your snake AND keep him happy. If you don't know why your other one died, you definitely have more research ahead of you. Good luck, and please be careful.

GEESH!

OKAY! Look my corn got out because it was to big for the tank and I did not have a ride to Grand Forks. Don't worry! I kept my last two very happy and if you don't believe me then don't I am good with snakes and other animals but if you don't want to believe me then don't okay?!?!

going back to what this thread was about, corn snakes can range anywhere from $15 to $100 or more depending on the morph. usually the price raises with the attractivness or 'rareness' of the snakes pattern and color. pick one that appeals to you regardless of price. the local petco here likes to raise the prices of corns not according to morph but according to popularity. if they sell 2 in one day, the next day the price will jump from $49.99 to $59.99.....kinda ridiculous...they are makin tons of money off of that...but anyway good luck finding one thats just right for you.

Apologies Derek, I misunderstood what you'd written.
I have no idea what it is in dollars, but my amel cost me £45 (at about 8 months old).

My amel was $24 at a reptile show. At my local pet store, $69, so you are better off getting it from a local breeder, on-line from a good reputable one, or a show. My Aztec was $35 from a local breeder. No matter what, you're probably better off getting one on-line or at a show than paying petstore prices.

They can range from about $10 for a baby normal to around $1000 for something like a lavender motley.
