What is the average healthy age and size for breeding cornsnakes. What is the earliest age you can start? Thanks! :argue:

Read Kathy Love's book. Or Don Soderburg's. Or the FAQ section of this forum. They all have great in depth answers to that very question.

Females should be no less than 3 yrs old, 3 feet in length in good muscle tone, and weigh a minimum of 300 grams.
As Robbie mentioned, you need to be doing some reading up on this.

Females: 3 years, 300 grams at least 3 feet.

Males: 2 years, 200 grams, at least 2 feet.

All you had to do to find that was search for "breeding size" in the on site search function. :)

I have both books just wondering what you guys think. People vary with there answers.

I don't think those books give different answers, and niether will anyone here. For healthier animals with lower risks to their health the 3 rule for females and 2 rule for males is the best for when to start. And when in doubt wait another year. Better safe than a dead female from eggbinding right?
