My 13" okeetee took a pinkie the first time I tried to feed him in less than a minute... As soon as he had it down I offered another and he took that as well (although these are very small pinkies...) I read to not feed more than that as he may regurge... So far so good it has been a day and no regurge... I'll probably feed him again next week...
my snakes down pinks pretty fast too. and mine are all 2005 hatchlings.
what i look for, is not how quick they eat, but if it leaves a lump or not. if they're eating 2 pinks and there's no lump, then it's time to move them up to fuzzies.
I've had mine about a month. The first few feedings it took him over an hour to eat the pinkie. He just seemed very tentative about it. The last feeding he struck in minutes, and was a bit more aggressive. Previously he'd sniff at it and leave for a while, coming back several times before he ate.
You might try lowering or elevating the temperature of the pinkie, and if you're using a large enough container to feed in you can also try to drop the pink right in front of the snake's head/mouth.
I have several snakes who won't hit a pink unless it's blazing hot, and still some others don't care about the temp; they just don't want to to have to look for it.
hahahah last time i fed my snake i held the pinkie by the tail, an it was swinging around preddy much, the snake went all super aggressive an struck at the pinkie was preddy kewl
ok well i'd have to say if it's about 20in or ovr feed it large pinky or a fuzzy (if u try fuzzy make sure it dead so if it's too big it won't b a threat) i'd say move on up to large pinky's!
