How to tell a Snow stripe from an Avalanche stripe?

As the title says really. I have a snow stripe and an avalanche stripe, and other than the avalanche having more yellow down his sides i can`t see any difference. Is the yellow a giveaway or is it just an individual thing? Is the only way to tell through test breeding?
 
You might be able to see a difference in the side pattern, with the avalanche being more diffuse. Otherwise, there may not be any phenotypical difference that you're likely to see. The difference in the amount of yellow should not be linked to the presence or absence of the diffuse/bloodred gene and is more likely just normal variation seen between two individuals.
