How to tell if they are male of female

Hello,
I have had my snake for about 5 months now and I am very happy to say that she is doing fine. (except for a little feeding problem that has been solved thanks to the help of some members here)

So, the only problem is, I dont know if my snake is male or female...and the closest person that could tell me is an hour drive away. Is there any way to figure this out by myself?

Thanks.

Take pictures of the belly side of the snake, showing the tail and vent. By looking at the taper of the tail behind the vent, you can tell what sex the snake is. This method can sometimes be wrong, but most of the people on here can call it really good. The best way to tell is to get the snake popped or probed. So if you really want to be sure, you will have to take that hours drive to the person you know that can tell you. While you are there, ask him/her is they can teach you how to sex (pop or probe) so that you can do it on your own in the future if you get any more or start breeding.
