I have a 2004 Male that has been bred twice by me and unknown amount of times by the previous owner. For the last two years he has not wasted any time starting the courtship ritual. I have bred him with 3 different females and this past year was very excited by the outcome. He is hypo and I proved out him being het for motley, amel and anery. This year I am trying to breed him with a new female to prove out hets and so far he won't even go near her. He curls up under or in his water bowl. I did a light brumation since our ambient temps can't go below 70 due to the other snakes in the room. I have had two pair lock up so far but he just won't do anything. I tried the female from last year to see if maybe it was just the other snake. But still no interest. I know it's early in the season but was just wondering if maybe he was getting too old to breed. How do you tell if that is the case?
