So ive recently been giving my corn snake live mice.. hold up before i get all the critisism. I really dont enjoy doing this and this is only the third time. He's not getting full off of the f/t because the place where i get them they are too small and the live ones are just right. However i need a way to either stun or kill the mice before i drop them in there so as not to harm Neon. Any suggestions? Ive tried shaking the box really hard but that didnt help. I now keep the mice in a small feeder tank. Any HUMAINE suggestions?

Hold the mouse firmly by the head and pull back sharply at the base of the tail. This is called cervical dislocation.

Da Bachelor, no criticism is needed. Sounds like you already know that it's not the best way to feed your snake and are trying to fix it. Feeding Fresh Killed is a great idea. Nanci's way works great for single mice. Another way is Co2. Both are considered humane.

Just an idea, why not just feed two smaller F/T items that equal the same size as the live one? 2 small adults = 1 larger one

If not then I recommend the CO2 chamber.

(Waiting for Wade to link his shotgun euthanization technique.)
