Hello all! My name is Tessa, and I live in Orlando, FL, USA. I'm 21 years old. I live with my boyfriend of almost 5 years. I am origanally from La Grange, KY, USA. I enjoy music, being with friends, and all animals. I have a female Cornsnake, named Rose. I'm not sure what type of corn she is, so any help is greatly appreciated.
I also have two colombian boas, four turtles, two cats, a fish, and a dwarf hamster.
Well, that's about all for now, but I'll answer any question that anyone has.
Thanks!:spinner:

heyy, im pretty new here too. Welcome, this is a great forum.

I have turtles too, what kind do you have?? and what are the set ups like?

also, im in the market for a colombian boa..... id like to know a few things about that. Like, how old they are, how big they are, what is there set up like... and ill probably have more. I want one really bad, but my space is limited for the next year or so, but I have room for a 40 breeder or something around that size. I already have like 125 gallons worth of tanks in my apartment and cant really afford to fit any more than 40 for the next year or so, so im just trying to figure out exactly how long that would be ok for the guy, I dont want to keep one in a tank too small or anything, you know?

anyway, welcome!

As for the boas. Im no expert but i was interested in one for a little bit, but I have heard anywhere from 8 to 12 feet for a colombian red tailed boa. As well as they grow very quickly. I mean if you got a baby, i would imagine the 40 gallon would be okay for a year.. but i think they get to about 3 to 4 feet in the first year. but 40 gallons would be good for that. dont take my word im not an expert, but im pretty sure that is accurate. do some research, you should be able to find alot on them on the web.

yea, ive been doing plenty of research, and I know how big of an enclosure I will need eventually... but I just couldnt find a timeline of sorts, i guess. Well, thank you very much... I hopefully will be buying my new red tail this weekend. So, its exciting.

Welcome aboard....

Lakeland here...
Keep yoor eyes peeled on the General Chit-chat forum. There are a group of us in C. Florida who go on field trips to the Serpentarium, shows, and herping.

Thanks for the welcomes!

As far as the boas, we have a 5ft, and she's in a 40 Gallon. We're moving her to a bigger one once we move back to Kentucky in July. But I'd say a 40 is good for up to 5 feet. My male, Kah, is about 3 foot long, and about 14 months old. My female is about 5 feet long as I've said, and we think she's about 3 years old. Email me at [email protected] if you want to know anything else.

And about the C. Florida group, I'm down for going herping and all that. We are actually going to the serpentarium Sunday. I'm excited. I'll keep an eye out for what's going on.

And again, thanks for the welcome!
