Okay, which of these 2 is better, with the heavier shadows or without?

#1 (light shadows)

#2 (heavy shadows)

I vote #2 ~~~~~~~~~:~

This is simular to one that I have been working on, Like you I found it hard to work with all the "letters" in the limited space. You've done a nice job and I like the depth of #2. It's getting harder to compete with all this talent! ~~~~~~~:~ Sam

pretty!

Number two is the better, however I would make one slight change to it. The "N" snake on "corn" needs to be just a hair yellower, more of a butter because right now it blends too much with the R. Combine that blending with the same pose as the lavender S, it looks at first glance like "corssnakes" Really nice job though!

Man! That had to take a lot of work! Nice job!

One comment, however. Ask someone whom doesn't know what those letters are supposed to spell out to take a look at it and see if they can easily determine what it says. Remove everything that would give them a hint.

I hope no one resents my making comments and suggestions to a few of these logos here.

good job

do you think yu could make your n's and the o in com more pronounced. the n are hard to see that they are n's.. hope this helps. nice job

:)

Thanks all for the comments!

Haps> Now that you mention it, it is a little hard to seperate the R from the N... I'll try yellowing it a little more.

Rich> I think it took about 5 or 6 hours all told (not including the little mouse, that took about 3 hours cloning all by itself... I'm a perfectionist!).... but it would have taken longer if I had tried to pose my snakes like that! (all the letters are the same snake pic, colorized and warped).
It IS a little hard to read it (hence why the text is there too ;) )... I was trying to stick as close as possible to the size requirement (obviously, I still had to make it bigger).

Here are a couple of 'quick' edits... , one that's longer, just too see if spacing it out helps at all... and one with the N's colored and changed a little bit.... I think it's the repeating shapes of the the NSN of corNSNakes that throws the read-ability off.

<img width="360" height="160" src="http://image.photoloft.com/opx-bin/OpxFIDISA.dll?s=cano&src=/PhotoLoft/Asset20/2002/09/23/10091/10091794_0_1765.fpx,0,0,1,1,360,160,FFFFFF">
This is the same size as the 'dark shadows' one above, but with adjusted N's

<img width="410" height="160" src="http://image.photoloft.com/opx-bin/OpxFIDISA.dll?s=cano&src=/PhotoLoft/Asset20/2002/09/23/10091/10091795_0_3660.fpx,0,0,1,1,410,160,FFFFFF">
And this is a longer version of it... still needs work, but I think stretching it made the snake letters are a fair bit clearer personally... thoughts?
