Humid hides!

The Lab Rat
Hey! So I know humid hides are normally used for snakes with bad sheds, but is it bad to keep one in the tank regularly? My snake's last shed wasn't whole (his basking light seems to be drying out the tank), so I picked up a little fish bowl and sphagnum moss and made him a humid hide. He seems to love it and has been in it since I put it in there (a half hour ago). Is it alright to leave this hide in all of the time?

Thanks! :)

It won’t hurt him from time to time. Remember these are not swamp animals. If you snake is always buried in wet moss, he will develop skin problems. From time to time is fine.

Moist hides also attract bacteria and fungus and little flies called fungus flies. You are not going to want one in there all the time.
