Humidity being a pest.

Hey all, Having a bit of a problem with humidity, the hygro was in the middle of the tank to get an overall reading, and it was saying 75-80% or so. At the time the water was on the warm side, (when he was upstairs it was too low so the water was on warm to raise it) So I moved the bowl to the cool side in the hope of reducing it, but no change at all.

T-man has been fine with it and has shown no problems, but obviously I don't want it staying like that, I don't want to risk it.

Some info:
Beech Chip substrate. It's a very dry substrate so I never really considered it. :shrugs:

It's an electronic hygro built in to the in/out thermometer.

Dial hygrometer hidden away on the warm side reads the same.

Bowl is appropriately sized for T-hombre's size, he is 2 feet-something. (haven't measured in a while)

Any opinions?

Hey Marty. :)

I don't think it's a big problem as long as you aren't getting condensation and/or dampness. BUT, I wouldn't like it either. I'd get a smaller water dish (3/4 of mine don't have dishes large enough to soak in), and you might want to see what you can do about increasing ventilation. Your only other easy option would be to use an incandescent lamp for drying effect.
