Humidity Still High?

I don't know if you guys remember my previous threads about humidity, but I am still having a problem. Its too high! It used to be at 90% but its gone down to 70%, after about a month!

I was told to drill holes in the walls of my viv because there weren't enough air holes. I drilled about 30 holes of reasonable size on the back of the viv, and its still high?!

Could it be the hygrometer thats broken (yet it tells the temp correctly).

Advice?

What's the humidity in your house? The humidity in the cage won't get any lower than the ambient humidity in the rest of the house.

Test the hygrometer to see if it's accurate.

Blow air past the cage with a fan.

Make sure the water dish isn't "sweating" and getting the substrate all wet. If it is, make a little tinfoil cup to put the water dish in so it catches the condensation water.
