hello

i have a question about the difference between normal motleys and hurricane motleys

is it true that hurricane motleys have a dark line around the ovals
and if yes would you call this a hurricane motley

I think you're on the right track but I believe that for it to be hurricane two things are needed.
1. Dark outline of background on the edge of the saddles (like in your pic)
2. The 'motley' pattern should join most/all of the saddles and the background still showing should be near perfect circles outlined as in 1.

Based on this I would say it was not a hurricane. Anyone can feel free to correct me though :)
 
I wouldn't really call that one a hurricane; at best it's a poor example of a hurricane. But never the less; is a great looking motley in general.
