It's been almost half a year since I was last here. For the few of you who wondered, yes I am still alive. For the overwhelming majority who have no idea who I am... hi.

It's been crazy, crazy, crazy times. I won't get into everything. But all is well now. Well, I did lose several snakes recently due to a thermostat malfunction... the thermostat for my house shorted out on a day where the heat index was 120. It got to be about 90 in my house, and well over 100 in the upper snake enclosures. I came home to a nightmare that day. Lost my Taiwan babies (sorry, wade :( ) and a few others.

Anywho... what have I missed?

Well for one thing, there is no more Wade. He has been permabanned but you can find him in FB.
Other than that it has been pretty much the same around here.

I'm sorry about your snakes. That's why I run a back-up portable AC all summer- I've had my main AC die before. It's replaced, but still...And welcome back!

It's a little complicated to explain the permaban, but it's good to see you back, Kaminoke. You missed Beth (Starsevol) & I going to our first Daytona & coming home with LOTS of snakes. You've missed fights, eggs & pippies. Mostly, same stuff different day. Welcome back!
 
I'm kinda curious about what happened with that ban, too....

Oh, most importantly, you missed meeting ME! LOL!

Thanks! I had planned on going to Daytona but alas, that just was not possible. But there's always next year.

And the snake room is getting a backup AC unit installed. We have central heat and air, and honestly having a contingency plan setup in case of failure just never crossed my mind. Also, this is the hottest summer I've had in over 20 years here.... usually it would not be able to get that hot in the house. But I learned the hard way. I just wish my lesson hadn't been at the expense of my animals.
