I was wondering about that too...is it making a point that we cherish our pets more than our soldiers? or the other way around?
 
Its not a good banner. The site claims to donate money to a charity of your choosing based on purchases you make through online retailers. The banner is a little provocative at first glance.
 
For the 114th time, why are you guys not running Firefox w/ adblock? I haven't seen an ad since the first day those things got moved to the top of the screen.
