I finally beat Murphy!!

CAV

Dazed and Cornfused
Last clutch of the season just hatched. Both parents were first year breeders so the clutch was only 6 eggs. All of them weathered the storm and hatched last night.

The mother was an Amel Motley, het Butter and the father was supposed to be just a Caramel but first visible nose proved that the he is also het Amel.

How about this for perfect odds:

2 Caramel hatchlings
2 Normal hatchlings
1 Amel hatchling
1 Butter hatchling

All of them are het Butter Mot as a bonus.

Cool! Congrats on stickin' it back to Murphy.

What ever happened to that lone egg from the clutch Murphy did get?

Don't pat yourself on the back too hard. Murphy will likely have his revenge next year. I know from experience that you just can't beat him in the end and he ALWAYS has the last laugh.

I can see which ones are the amel and butter, but I would have said the other four were two classic and two anery from the picture. Can you help me out there?? Congrats on your beautiful clutch! :)

I'd have to say the one's head by the butter's body and the one at the bottom were the Caramels.

The two normals are closest to the Butter; one is heading toward the left edge of the photo and the other is right between the Butter and the Amel with his head tucked under the pile. The normals have the reddish-brown saddles and a peachy hue down the neck circles, while the Caramels (although not as visible in this photo) have the darker saddles much like an Anery, but have very visible yellow inside the neck circles. Side by side, they are quite different and distinct.

Once they get un-slimy I'll post new pics.

I'm not sure if you actually beat Murphy, maybe he's just done messing with you this year. You gotta remember, he roughed you up a lot going into breeding season. I seem to remember that it was a bad year for your colony, lost a few if I remember right.... Murphy might just be taking a little pitty on the CAV man....... ;)

Tomato...tomatoe....Either way, he can pucker up and smooch my pooter! :grin01:

Regardless, I've got a show in two weeks and now I've got goods to sell! :dancer:
