I never thought i would lose my sammy. I was sooo stupid..i had left to go with some friends and they wanted a quick glance so i took off the lid of his home and i never put the thing back on!!! stupid stupid stupid:rolleyes: i was shocked when i came home six hrs later. but after three days i found him cruising over my shoes coming out of my closet. :D I was sososo happy. he drank like crazy. I don't know if i should let him rest before handling him or what:confused: he isn't very strong his skin feels limp a little. well i learned from a very stupid mistake. has anyone else lost a snake before:confused:

Now I've heard everything...a snake coming out of the closet. (LOL) :roflmao:

Congrats on finding him. Before I went to a tub/rack syatem I lost a few before. I remember once I got a phone call from my mom when I feeding snakes. I got side tracked and forgot to place the lid back on the tank and poof when I came back there was no snake. :awcrap: Found it down stairs coming out of the heat register. I don't know if it went through the duct work or down the stairs and into the duct for heat.

Congrats on the find~~

Since he escaped, treat him as a new snake. Separate him from other snakes (if you have them, just incase any parasite got transferred to the snake while it was out.)

Leave it alone for a while so that it can get used to the 'new environment'

Congrats on the find~~

lol

a couple of months back i had to look after my dads adult normal for 2 weeks while he went on holiday,
a couple of days into the second week i left the tank open after placing a mouse inside (thawed thank god:D )
Anyway i came back to check up an hour later and he had gone:awcrap: i searched hi and lo all over my house while my mum paniked and kept her feet off the floor lmao!
i eventualy found him under one of my shelving units in my bedroom and i have NEVER had a stronger feeling of pure relief.
so i know how u feel and glad u got ur snake back:cool:
