Well today I went for a presentation/interview day at Sparsholt College, a few miles from where I live.

It's the leading college in the UK for land based industries - Such as farming, game and wildlife, horticulture etc.

Anyway my interview was successful today and I have a place in September for an Animal Care course. They showed us around the campus and the Animal Management Centre is SO COOL. It's like a zoo! they have over 500 animals, and are always getting more :)

The reptile house is awesome, has a really good selection and it's super clean. If only petstores were kept in almost-lab conditions.

They work very closely with a nearby Zoo - Marwell. And I may get to do some work experience there, I'm so excited :D

Congrats, very cool for you. What is the water area, if that is water? Red Pandas, this will be very exciting. susan

Thanks guys, the course lasts a year, - It's a great starting point as they get a lot of employers going to Sparsholt before advertising jobs, - Obviously the places like Zoo's look there first for people who have the experience with animals.

And the two water areas have a small group of Geese, a number of types of duck and a family of Moorhens :) Sparsholt also do a lot of work involving fish in a seperate area. (Trout & Salmon etc, and ornamental fish).
