I responded to an ad in the paper, and bought a Normal Corn-around 4 feet long AND a Corn (they called it a Black Corn I am not sure) about 18", WITH tanks!! Pictures on the way!! I'm getting a nice collection going!

They are VERY tame. They love to be held and they prefer to hang around the neck. It's nice to have gentle Corns for once, my other Corns, "the twins", are very feisty and are not nice, but very beautiful. I'm going to start taking pictures!!!

Here's the smaller one. They called it a black corn, not sure if thats accurate:

The larger corn snake, I was told, sustained injuries from a rat about a month ago. The tail has healed nicely. I just got these corns home about an hour and a half ago, so I have been cleaning tanks and holding them (they are VERY tame). Incidently, I FINALLY was able to hold my first 2 corns..I just moved very slow, nothing sudden, and they were fine. They could also smell the two "new" corns scent on my shirt, so they probable got a little jealous and decided to find out more about thier owner lol. But they like being held now, they seem less stressed. Thanks in advance for the advice thats sure to come. This board is GREAT because it encourages people to take proper care of these animals. The biggest reason I bought these is because I had a feeling they weren't getting the best of care, and I knew that I had a GREAT source of info!!

I should say Thank You!!! Its exciting to have these beautiful snakes. They are all doing fine. They love to take tours of the apartment and play around on my desk while I'm typing on the computer. They have really neat personalities and are VERY curious (they trip out on the keyboard and mouse cables).

Do Cornsnakes have personalities?

Personalities

If you regularly have contact with all your snakes you will notice that they're all different. Some are really curious while others just like to curl up and rest. Some like to nip at your hand and some would never dream of striking at you. They're all different, even though they only have tiny brains.:D.
