i have some Questions on corn snake color

Yes, they can change color slightly after each shed. It is not too much change but the can lighten or darken up.

Wow - I would have never known the colors could change so much in a year or so. I'm guessing only some change this much or do most of them go thru such color changes?

Most corns will go through quite a dramatic colour change as they grow. Some more so than others. It varies from snake to snake. You just have to hope you get the colour you want in the end...
