offcourse ghost and the parents are both het motley
and you would say this is one
but he has markings on his belly but they are on the sides with a white line in between
some also curve like the motley pattern but on the belly

so what shoult i call it

ghost het motley or ghost motley??

Its a ghost but not a motley so it would be a ghost possible het motley since there is no way to tell if it carries the motley gene until breeding tests are done.

Exactly. It isn't motley, and it is only 66% possible het. motley. Both parents were het. motley, giving this baby a 66% chance of recieving the motley gene from one parent. If one parent were homo motley, than the baby would 100% het. But until this baby is bred to a motley or a het. motley, you will not know if it is carrying the motley gene.

It's definitely a ghost, though...;)

I'd like to see a better picture of it's side as well.

Doesn't the pattern look first just like regular motley but then transform to something like banded motley? To me at least it seems as if the saddles would have melted together with the lower spots on the side. Doesn't that make a banded motley?

Patterned corns CAN have checkers on their belly. It's very rare, but genetically it is possible. It's noticed that patterned genes and plain belly gene tend to go together but CAN be passed on separately just like bloodred and plain belly.

So I'd say this could be genetically Motley after all.

Beautiful ghost, but it could be a 'mockley', a motley mimic. As said before, testing by breeding with a mot will be the only way to find out.
