I think a scale came off my snake when he shed?

Ok so my snake just shed, it was perfect, all in one peice and stuff, but i noticed a little red dot on it.
and then i looked on my snake and there's a gray spot where the scale on his head is supposed to be.
Did the scale get stuck and come off? It's the scale that's like right in the middle of his head.
What should I do about it?

It hasn't happened to my snakes yet but I have read about this. Look him over carefully for any stuck bits, if there are any get him to slither thru a wet washcloth to dislodge them gently. Dab some plain bacitracin or Neosporin (NOT the stuff that says "pain relief" or has lidocaine in the ingredient list) on the spot on his head. I'd put him on paper towels or newspaper so the substrate won't stick. Keep dabbing a tiny bit of antibiotic ointment on every day. It should heal in a shed or two if what I have read is correct. I hope this helps.

Ok. I'll do that. Can I still feed him, though? It's been a week and a half since I fed him last. He doesn't eat when he's in shed mode so I had to wait a while. I usually feed him once a week cause he's still a baby. So he's probably hungry.

I would feed him.
I mean they're allowed to eat some just want too.

Try him and see, he'll probably eat.

Is it the big center scale? Mine lost his a while back and he is doing just fine... Bandit just has a bald spot right between the eyes. He still eats/poops/sheds normally.
