The breed of snake is cornsnake, so you've come to the right place to start with!

The photo is a little dark so I can't tell you for sure what it is but if it has a bright orange background (that I can see) with reddish blotches that are THICKLY outlined in black, then you could call it an Okeetee phase. There are big differences in opinion on Okeetee's and if you stick around this site a while, you'll experience them!

So, if you can, post another pic with better lighting and we'll be able to tell you more. I'd call it a normal or 'wild colour' for now until we can tell you more.

Welcome and good luck with your snake,
Adèle

Yep, I agree on the Okeetee part.

Hope you don't mind, but I lightened your picture so it is easier to see the snake. Here it is.

Depends on your own tastes, but most people think it's a good thing. Okeetees are fairly common, and there are many different levels of "quality" that people call Okeetee. IMO yours is toward the "better" end of the spectrum. In a year it's going to be even prettier than it is now. :)

It's a good thing. Yes okeetees are a common morph and also the most debated morph. Looks pretty nice to me

anyway, i like him alot !

I vote that since we cannot accurately define "okeetee" at this point, we just call it a "normal with exceptional orange colors who are often named after the okeetee hunt club where the look of the snake was first noticed."

Nice okeetee BTW, I have a few myself ;).
