In a climbing mood

Hello everyone. I just finished a nice handling session with my new corn. When I was getting her out of the cage, she was trying to get away from me with all her might! She kept running away and it took me a little bit to get her out. She calmed right down after about a minute of handling, and then she would even move to my hand when I wiggled my fingers (probably just curious, maybe she thought it was potential food).

Usually when I put her back, she scurries away and goes straight into the hide. Today, she crawled over to the hide, looked inside, and then started crawling around the cage! She proceeded to climb on top of her hides and then up the climbing branch. I was so excited! She seems to be warming right up to her new life with me.

She was doing much climbing hand to hand when I was holding her, and she seemed to be in a climbing mood when I put her back (because she wanted to keep moving and climbing on things).

This is mostly just a share post (or whatever you wanna call it; a non-question post), but what do you guys think about this? Do they ever get into moods like that where they just want to keep doing something (like climbing)? I have access to a digital camera and hope to post pics next week. She's 4-5 months and is about 17 (give or take a couple) inches (that's another reason I need to take a picture of her - to use that software that determines the exact length of the snake), although she's pretty thin. Does this sound like a normal length for her age?

It's nice to see "success" posts like this one! I think 17" is very good growth for a 5 month old corn. Looking forward to seeing pics!
