Incomplete shed

My little corn just had an incomplete shed, and the skin broke off around three inches from the tip of her tail. Is it safe to peel the retained skin off, or better to soak her and let her get it off herself?

It shouldn't be a problme you help your little corn off with the last of the shed - gently but firmly is best. Make sure that his eye scales came off in the shed - other than that I'm sure he will be fine.

The best thing to do right now is to let your snake crawl around in a damp paper towel/washcloth to try and get the shed off itself. You want to be careful pulling the scales off dry because sometimes the old skin can stick to the scales on the new skin and pull them off. You also will want to check your humidity levels for the next time and adjust them accordingly.

Yeah, I soaked her in some lukewarm water for a few mins before I attempted to take the skin off-- and didn't force any bits that weren't coming readily. Seems to be all off now and she took a pinkie half an hour later so she obviously wasn't anywhere near as stressed by it as I was, lol. Thanks for your help.
