Waayyy overdue, but...

Introducing our most recent addition to the family: Dante, a hypo fire corn het anery and stripe from Nanci at Snickersnakes. :] (Thank you, Nanci! <3)

He is absolutely GORGEOUS and oh, so bright! 8D Pictures don't do him justice...but needless to say, I took some anyway. xD

Anywho, we picked him up from Fedex all expertly and snugly packed in his box and cup. We slipped him on into his tank, and then took off the lid, and -poof!- off he went, so happy to stretch out! :D

((-ahem- For added effect, please play "What's This" from Nightmare Before Christmas, and actually the Fallout Boy version as it has a bit more pep. This was his theme song as he "ran" around his tank. xD ))

<3 I absolutely love him, Nanci. And actually, my fiance has a particular fondness for him. I think he's secretly-not-so-secretly become "his" snake. xD

And must admit, he's a perfect lil (actually, he's quite long) specimen of excellent breeding. :] And I saw Mi Corazon in another post! Such an adorable headspot! :3 I think Nanci got a lot of cool patterns from that clutch; mine has "C's" on him. I wonder if I can capture those... :eek:

Will try more pictures in natural light....but of course, he is now in blue. xD He likes to do that at picture time apparently. :p But yay! He'll shed for the first time for us! :3

He has already eaten three times for us! :D

He's such a smart boy. He not only will move towards the head of the pinky no matter where he struck it at, but he also swallows it down towards the end using gravity! (Alternatively, Butters likes the back-end of the pinky or fuzzy [more flavor??], and can't figure out why she can't swallow it down when she's coiled up in a knot... v_v'' )

He loves that "tree" of his. Forget the hide, he's rarely in there, even after eating, he climbs right to the top of the tree. Someone forgot to tell him he wasn't a tree python. xD

One of these times I need to get a pic of it, but he will sit up there balancing himself on a leaf. It's mind-blowing. Graceful dude. o_O
 
I'm so happy that you guys love him, and that he has a fun viv with a tree, and that you post lots of pics! I wish everyone did that. It's so reassuring!
 
I like pictures! :D Just wish I had a better camera. Like one that doesn't want to focus on the leaf in front of the snake. x.x
 
Gorgeous!!! I love Nanci's snakes, and hope to maybe have one someday :) I love the "What's This?" line...I totally did that too lol. My little Omnom has leafy branch things in his viv that he LOVES to play hide-n-seek in and watch the world go by. He would probably do that if he had a tree also lol.
 
We went to the lake where my fiance's family lives and collected a whole bunch of driftwood from a dead forest there. (It was a beautiful place, by the way.) Spent days decontaminating those things, but it was soooooo worth it. Got some gorgeous pieces, like Dante's loop there. :]
