Hello! Just thought I'd share some pictures of my two carpet pythons, Ahi and Gorgeous.

Ahi was a grand prize online raffle win.

As for Gorgeous, I acquired her from a reptile show auction. When I got her, she was dehydrated, a little underweight, and infested with mites. She's been in quarantine for several months and I think she's really recovered nicely.

(Sorry for the varying crop sizes.)

Thanks for the kind words everyone. :) Ahi is getting beautiful each day - I can't wait until he/she reaches maturity.

They aren't siblings, though. :) I have extensive documentation on Ahi's bloodlines (tracing back to Anthony Caponetto's "Bullwinkle"), but Gorgeous' genetic information is somewhat of a mystery. I've pretty much gotten 3rd or 4th hand information ... I'm not even sure her estimated hatch date is correct! Gorgeous was purchased as a pet though, so I won't need her genetic information anyway. :)
 
Ah, it was just a guess, since they are both IJ X Coastal crosses. I wouldn't be surprised if Gorgeous was a Jag Sib.

She very well could be! :laugh: She was auctioned as a 100% Irian Jaya...then after speaking to the vendor that donated her, I learned she was a Coastal x Irian Jaya cross with no information on percentages. When I inquired further on who initially bred her, that's where the trail stopped. :shrugs:

Ahi is a 94% Irian Jaya Jaguar...I'm not very well versed in genetic percentages, though. I think it's from breeding an 88% Irian Jaya Jag to a 100% Irian Jaya if I read correctly? :shrugs:
