I decided to shake up the frat house that I have here with my snakes. I went to Hamburg and came home with butter gal. I wanted an adult but I just didn't have the funds on me. But I fell in love with this little butter motely gal hatched early last summer. The guy had a nice selection of butter babies but had her stuck behind the table because she was "ugly"! All his other butters were stripes. She is het for stripe but is just not showing it in her pattern. But still she had some radical bright yellows coming in that the camera just wasn't catching very well. I'll do a better shoot of her later after she settles in. But this is what I snapped off now.

Not ugly at all! I really love butters, their coloration gets more and more impressive as they grow, too! They really do turn out to be BUTTERY!
 
So far I'm going with the assumption that the "ugly" ones bloom later as they mature and become swans.

Hmmm. I didn't realize it until I saw the pics of her. She has the eye of Sauron on her head!
