Welcome to the board, nice looking snakes.
But I'll just let you know right now that most of us on this board don't approve of cohabitation.

Please do a search on this word, agree with Jenn for multiple reasons, cohabitation is a very bad idea, unless you are ready for the consequences. :bang: susan

I love it,Norman the normal.Sorry dude, but I'm going to steal the name for one of my normals :grin01:

Agree but not the only consequence there is unwanted pregnancy (females to small to be gravid), stress can cause non eaters, regurge... Snakes do not fall in love, are solitary animals, while they may sleep in same hide it is because that is the ideal temp for them. Many people think my snakes are all males or females until one, or more end up gravid. This list could go on but the best way for you to decide for yourself is to do the research. susan

If your ready for the consequences, you shouldn't be allowed to own a pet of any kind...

beautiful snakes though! That ghost is wonderful!

your ghost looks just like mine! :) sooooo pretty :) and the colors of the normal are so bright... did this one just shed maybe??

not everyone is against co-hab :) so, I dont jump on anyone for doing it... just need to point out the obvious hazards. (there are ways to tell ppl the dangers without being rude)

Thank you so much for posting pics.... you have 2 very beautiful snakes :)

agreed...it is up to the owner if they see it fit to cohab...i can understand where people who would just like to avoid the risk all together will say dont do it at all...but if you hold that attitude toward things then nothing different would ever happen, if that wasnt clear, here is an example...if people didnt want to take the risk of making cars faster, tospite the obvious risks of increased bodly harm and possible death, then we wouldnt have any of the modern cars of today. if people didnt want to go against everyone else who said people wernt ment to fly then we wouldnt have our air forces and over seas flights of today...im not saying it is right or wrong to cohab...there are risks. but there can also be positive out comes, and if not positive then atleaste neutral...nothing bad nor nothing good comming out of it...true snakes are solitary animals, but keep in mind they are solitary animals in the wild, that dosent have much bearing on captivity...you may think it does, but when its thought about further, it really dosent. in the wild snakes have to keep their space in order to find and get food for themselfs, if they have another snake with them than it will be harder to feed both, snakes cant exactly share meals. this is not a problem when in captivity since both are fed on scheduals there is no competition for food. as far as teritory...its not like they have anywhere near the amount of room that they would be roaming in the wild to begin with, nor do they have the stressers such as preditors. i think that if you have two snakes that have enough room to share with a well equiped tank, meaning 2-3 hides per temp range and seporate climbs, and for adult snakes probly a 50+ gal. tank then it is possible to comfortably house them together, but you have to do extra work to keep track, somehow, of each snakes progression. that is where the major hassle really comes in...but if you are willing to put forth the extra work, then more power to you. personaly i keep both of mine in seporate vivs. just because i personaly dont want to run risks of one being ill and passing it on, or one pestering the other. but as i said, its a personal choise, and it dosent matter how much you say NO people are still going to do it, and who knows, maybe in 10 years it will be the norm, and people will be telling people not to house snakes alone...you never know, i highly doubt that, but still you never know lol

I'm not jumping all over you! :grin01: You can tell by the emoticon..
But I don't think you really mean that something positive can come of cohabitation, I think you mean to say that you know of nothing good that can come of cohabitation. (Please correct me if I'm wrong..)
And why take a risk (which you agree it is) for something that will have, at best, no effect?
