Hi all, I'm here to introduce myself (and my snake) to the forum. I tend to lurk a lot more than I post, so don't expect to hear much from me. But I will be around.

Now for the introduction you care about: my snake Ness! I bought him from a classified ad in June last year. The seller couldn't tell me much about him, including his sex or hatching date (he said a few months prior I think?). He said he was pretty sure it's male so that's how I've referred to him myself. I guess when I finally get him sexed I should be ready with a new name if it turns out that way.

So I guess Ness is approaching a year now. He's super active and an aggressive eater. He usually hides behind his water dish (on the cool side) during the day. About 5 or 6 he comes out and cruises all around his tank the rest of the evening. He loves to tunnel through the aspen and climb on his branch. He also loves to squeeze himself into the lip of the tank under the screen top. From there he stretches out vertically and pushes against the screen, sometimes a little too far and he falls! He's good with handling, but sometimes I can't tell if he's trying to explore or just get away from me!

And now, what you've all been waiting for: pictures! Like I said before I know virtually nothing about him. So I included a bottom shot in case you folks notice any signs of specific morph characteristics. But I'm pretty sure he's just straight normal.

Welcome, you sure do have a pretty snake. I think Ness can go either way. We call my friends daughter Ness short for Vanessa. So I think you are safe in the name department.

Welcome and Ness is a very handsome scalebaby!

I've seen a few from Utah not sure where in the state they were from.

We were stationed at Hill for a year and lived in Layton.

Hello and welcome! Very pretty Normal corn! There are a few members on here in Utah, I don't believe any are actually in SLC but a number are fairly close by. I could be wrong about any in SLC though. There will be a Repticon show in Farmington on April 28th and the 29th and the Wasatch Reptile Expo in SLC the last weekend in Sept. I believe.

I'm actually in Ogden, so also not actually in SLC. Just wondering who's in the area.

I plan to go to Repticon in Farmington. I would be going to Nampa as well in a couple weeks but I'm super busy with school right now.

Welcome!
I am down in Orem... Happy Valley ;-)

I have been keeping snakes for a few years now and have started breeding corns.
I will be vending at Repticon in April- you should definitely come to that.

Beautiful snake. A normal. If you are wanting him/her sexed, let me know- although unless you plan on breeding it doesn't matter- it isn't like the snake cares if you call it a him or her!

It is nice to see someone from my neck of the woods- or at least within the area.
