Hey I got my corn in January, at the time he was about 32-34cm couldn't really tell exactly, then I found the snake measuring widget from serpentine and got an accurate measurement of 34cm, I've had him for 4 months now and haven't noticed any great increase in length, so I used the snake measuring program again and got a reading of 36cm, now I thought babies grew quick, he's never refused a meal and weighs around 13g and I feed him 1 pink every 5 days like the munson plan says.

Now and I was told that he was around 2 months old when I got him. Now that's a 6 month old snake at 13g and 36cm does anybody else think that this is really small?

Oh and since I've had him he's shed twice one cycle he finished yesterday and the other was over 2 months ago.

Everything sounds right to me. I have a snake that hatched 7/25/2008 who weighs 12 grams. Babies usually shed about once a month.

I don't know the hatch date for my Rose, but I know for sure she is an 08. She is due for a measure and weigh on thursday (she just fed after a shed) but at last measure and weigh she was 11 inches and 12 grams. No way my lil girl is more than 10 months I am sure.

I have some six month old snakes barely making 10 grams, and some 10 month old snakes ranging from 13 g to 30 g. I think it varies a lot from snake to snake, depending on metabolism and whatnot. As long as it's eating readily and digesting it's food, I'm pretty sure your snake is fine. ^_^

Cool cheers guys wow. I knew that they varied widely but didn't know how widely now I know why people have such a hard time gauging age by weight/length 17g difference for 10 months old is insane lol.

Thanks again guys.

Once he gets on fuzzies, he'll grow faster, and when he's on hoppers he'll really take off!

hey coxy i hope thats fine cos i got mine in Jan and hes 14inches and 9gms and only just had hes first shed but takes a large pinkie every 5 days without fail.
Thought mine was really small as well.clairew.

I have a few 08s that are between 10-15g (born anywhere from late July through September), and then I have a two over 40g (both born in late July). It really varies (and I won't even go into the difference in the sizes of my 07s).
