Is it normal for her to be this small?

Firefly

Do fish get thirsty?
I got my anery corn on September 2nd (last year) and she wasn't very old. Maybe a month or two. But she just still seems so small to me. She is still eating pinkies and I know she can't go any bigger. Should she be big enough by now to eat fuzzy ones? She threw up her last mouse and lost a little weight, but is eating fine now. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks. :)

some cornbabys do grow verry slow.. I have one that is about 9 months that weigh only 30g.. so aslong your snake is eating fine you dont have to worry!!

good luck with your baby!! :wavey:

She is eating fine now and is pig with the pinkies..lol All my other corns were a decent size when I got them and this is my first baby corn. So I'm a new to it and have never seen one grow up. :)

Thank you!

Like loise said, some corns eat like little pigs, but grow very slowly. I still have some '05s that are 8 - 12 grams, and they were June babies, and I even have a couple of '04s that are small...38, 42 and one just jumped to 54 gms. Then I have some '05s that are over 40 gms and my biggest '04 is already 182 gms. Each one is different. As long as it's still eating, it will grow...eventually.

I got mine in September too, and I believe she was a July baby, she was really small when I got her. She has got a lot of length since then, but shes not very big around. I always thought there was something wrong with her, lol. Good to know some grow slower than others. She eats like a pig, but shes only up to fuzzies after all this time.

Diamond could not eat a fuzzy right now. I also think she was a July baby (the end of July).
She has got a lot of length since then, but shes not very big around.
Same for Diamond! She has grown in length, but is small around. Girth above^^^ How big is yours around?

corn growth

While I can't give you actual measurements, I will say that I have noticed my own corns tend to get longer first. I have raised almost a dozen from hatchling to adult in my corn keeping days and can tell you that all of them didn't really put on much girth until they were already pretty long. I think this might just be the way they grow. I wouldn't worry about it too much. As the others said, If it's eating fine - don't worry about it. Hope that sets your mind at ease a bit. :)

Ya, it did. :) Thanks for the help guys! As I said this is my first time owning a baby corn and I'm new to watching them grow.
