is it ok to handle...

stefmc24

officially addicted
as you normally would right after a shed??

i'm expecting flick to shed today (his eyes cleared up about 2 days ago), and i want to handle him since i haven't in a while (first digesting, then shedding).

it just seems that with new fresh skin, he'd be more sensitive.

smack me if i'm being overly paranoid. :headbang:

No smack needed. They are a lil bit more tender and you do need to be more cautious while handling, but personally I think it's fine to handle them after a shed for a few minutes. I can't resist taking them out after a shed because I love to see how vibrant their colors look afterwards. Good time for pics too.

Great...you just had to provoke him didn't you? Now we will never hear the end of this power trip. And I am sure that CAV will be expecting to just smack everyone that asks questions now. *sigh*

sorry! sorry!

i knew i deserved it though. (but i just needed to hear that it was ok. i'm <strike>stubborn</strike> paranoid like that.)

for all those out there who get smacked by cav...i apologize in advance...

You only deserved the slap because you asked for it. Asking if holding a snake directly after a shed is a valid question...

Point of advice, don't ask for a slap unless you really want one...there are a couple on here that will accomoodate you on things like that.

Whom are you referring to Paul??????

Just remember...

Answers are always free; correct answers on the other hand will cost ya!

whome am I referring to about what? getting a slap? And besides, you have never chaged for answering questions before...so why start now?

oh, and by the way, to answer your referring question, if you want the right answer to that, I will expect dinner and drinks

sometimes i think i need that slap. i think there's a thin line between being careful/paraniod and outright obsessed, sometimes i walk that line lol.

if my snake were a kid, he'd be wrapped in foam padding, wearing a helmet, and not let out of his room!!!

glad that I am not your kid then...You would have had a heart attack and died at a very early age.

I was and am one of those type of people that takes risks just for the thrill of it.

I agree, and since we already have Spirit on this forum, our requirement for a "Paranoid OCD Member" has been filled.

and you know the craziest thing about that? I'M LIKE THAT TOO!!

my idea of fun is risking life and limb...the more dangerous, the better...but for some reason i'm obsessed with this darn snake's health!!!

and there is nothing wrong with that...but just remember, when you finally decide to let the poor little creature go out on his own, you will have more and more fun with him.
