Is it okay for my corn to be in my bedroom.

My corn snake is in a cage in my bedroom and I heard they need some natural light ,but he could see it thourgh they window not actually have some in his cage is that okay.

Do not put him by the window. That'll fry him. The cage would magnify the sun and could easily kill him.

mine has been fine with just the light that comes in from my windows. just make sure that there is some distance if you get direct sunlight.

They will be just fine with sunlight. Just trying to make sure the tank is not in large areas of direct light.

I have a tank nearly sitting in a window and the snake is totally fine. I checked the temp readings and it never gets extreme.

Unless you have some freaky tank made of convex surfaces, you should be fine.

I am sorry but wouldn't that be a little well absurd? Yeah if a large area of the tank is in full sun may raise the temps in the tank. That would be like us standing in front of our windows and spontaneously combusting. I guess if them aliens would quit abducting me I wouldn't have posted on this. lol

A couple of slight snags I can think of:

1) Corns are active at times of low/no light - dawn, dusk and overnight. As it grows, it's likely to be moving around a lot as you're trying to sleep and could prove quite disturbing.

2) Many chemicals are dangerous to snakes, so you'd have to restrict use of things like deodorant, to the bathroom.

Having the tank out of direct sunlight is fine - recommended, in fact. Being in a room which has natural sunlight is a good idea, so in that respect your bedroom sounds like it will do the job.

I have racks and bins enough to house 76 snakes in my bedroom. But I only have 35 in there right now.

It shouldn't be an issue. My snake rack is also in my bedroom and nobody is worse for wear because of it. :) I do hear them moving around at night sometimes, but they are much quieter than my obnoxious cat, so snake noise doesn't bother me at all.

aerosols and harsh cleaning products in particular, right? my stick deodorant cannot harm my girl at all.

We have snakes in every bedroom. My daughter has Redrum in her room. Kyle has 3 snakes in his room and we have 6 snakes in our bedroom. Our Hog Island Boa's tank is near the window about 1/4 of it sits in the window. In the morning my husband will pull down the back drop and let the light come in to his tank. We keep it covered because it the winter it was a bit cooler.

All of mine live in the bedroom, get light from the window, and I suppose are exposed to chemicals from perfume or whatever. My eldest snake is 12-ish and shows no sign of harm from being fried or exposed to perfume.

Lol. I guess I forgot I'm the only one in Texas. Where I live, the humidity is about 80% most of the time, and its always cloudy so the sun is already magnified a ton.
