is my snake being strange?

i just checked on him (hes onli a baby 4 month old) before i went to bed and i found him curled up between the heat mat and the bottom of the viv. is this normal?

Not unusual at all snakes generally curl up in weird places, its just what they do. (Or mine dose any way and it doesn't seem to be a problem :)).

My little girl does that as well. I can usually find her under her aspen and right on top of the heating pad.

is the heat mat sticky? mine is placed out side the tank, as it said in the manual, so my snake couldn't get in their, unless it is too hot or sticky, your snake should be fine

thanks alot for the info. n not its not sticky theres nothing on either side of the heatmat just the mat itself. and good ill leave him alone next time. n i know its not going to get too hot because the heatmat is on a thermostat which cuts off at about 28 degrees C (sorry my thermostat and thermomemter are in C and i never could convert)
