Hello.
I`ve never used sani-chip bedding for my corns. Can baby corn snakes digest it? Where can I buy it as bulk for low price?

"Safe for snakes, lizards, and many others. Uniform, heat treated hardwood chips are extremely safe & sanitary. Animal waste will clump and be easily scooped for disposal."

It's made out of hardwood so i would say that it'll be fine but you better wait and let someone with more experience take a look at it and tell you what they think first

I used Sanichips for several years and they make an excellent bedding material. It cannot be bought cheap! It took me almost ten years to run out of the minimum order required from the manufacturer. You can contact P.J. Murphy Forest Products to see if there has been any change to their policy of if there are distributors now.

Here's the Sani chips I use for hatchlings and my Geckos
Bulk Sani Chip bedding
size: About 2 1/2 cubic feet
Safe for snakes, lizards, and many others. Uniform, heat treated hardwood chips are extremely safe & sanitary. Animal waste will clump and be easily scooped for disposal.
$19.99 each
They also have it in 4, 8 & 16qt bags.

I bought a bag like that, maybe larger, from the last local show and so far really like it. I was told (but don't know for sure) that they both can be digested naturally and are small enough to pass through regardless. I can't verify this, but so far so good. Before this I had a baby prolapse, and my guess was it swallowed some substrate that cause it, but I'm no doctor.

If I am not mistaken, that is what BHB uses for a lot of their snakes. It certainly LOOKS like Sanichips...

BHB does use Sani-Chips.

I can't get any retail and the company that makes it is in NJ. You need to buy 50 bags (40 lbs. each) minimum from them.

Their closest distributor, also in NJ, only sells with a $300 minimum. They charge $9 per 40 lb. bag, which is great, but I have no place to store that many bags.

If anyone in the NJ, NY, PA, CT area wants to split an order let me know.
