hi all i have done alot of reaserch into if my snake is gravid and i have not been able to come to a conclusion that she is or not so i read the thread that was posted by woomama and was hoping that you could help me as well as you helped woomama. i have had my snake for 5month and she came with a male. i had them in a big tank together but then she got really fat so i did some reaserch and it said that she would be due to lay as soon as she shed so i waited 2 weeks and she still hasnt layed them so i put up a post asking what to do if she doesnt lay and was told to wait. so i was just think maye she hasnt layed cuz she isnt gravid so i thought i would post some pics so u might be able to tell.

thanks

leanne

I think she looks gravid, and if she already shed 2 weeks ago it should be any day now, try to provide her a seperate box to lay in like a tupperware full of moss with a hole cut in the lid for access, they can retain eggs if they don't feel the laying conditions are right.

yes she sure looks gravid to me too. i agree with Jen though, you need a plastic box for her to lay in.
Don't be fooled by the time it is supposed to take them to lay after shedding though, some snakes will take their own sweet time lol
My Ruby didn't have a pre-shed this time which confused me but apparently this can sometimes happen.

Good Luck
