Corn Crib

is there a way at all that you can tell the hets of your snake??

corn crib

0.0.1 snow corn (female named ??, i need a name if you have one)

hopefully a hypo male on the way so i have a male to breed with my female, when she big enough

yes

By breeding it do different animals to see if the gene they are het for gets represented in the offspring.

how do you do that??

Well, if you think your snake might be het hypo, you breed it to a hypo snake. If you think your snake might be het lavender, you breed it to a lavender snake. And soforth, for all the morphs you want to test against.

If you bred it to a hypo snake and some of the babies showed the hypo gene, then the snake is het hypo. If you bred it to a lavender snake and some of the babies showed the lavender gene, then your snake is het lavender. On the other hand, if you breed it to a hypo or a lavender and don't get any hypos or lavenders, respectively, then your snake is not het for those traits.

thanx, now i just need my baby girl to grow and i need to find money for a ghost, lol. well thanx again.

Yes it is best to use snakes that have 2 or 3 genes present in their Phenotype... such as a Motley Snow... this corn snake shows 3 traits, Motley, Amel, and Anery A... the more the traits you have in your snake the more chances to finding out what your snake is het for!
