Is This Normal For a Adult Corn Or Should I Seek A Reptile Vet

animal lover :)
My ghost corn snake is about 6 years old, I've had her since my birthday is September, I got her checked out by my friend who's been having snakes and everything for the past ten years.

My girl will only eat a adult mouse once every two weeks, but every now and then once every week .. all depends on when she sheds and whatnot .But for some reason she won't poop ? she usually poops 5 to 7 days after she poops, but its been two weeks since she pooped ? should this be worry some ?

Could it be that shes in shed process ? she ate two weeks ago, i went to go feed it the other night but she hasn't pooped and i noticed she was starting to go blue stage so i wouldn't feed her cause she wont eat , she should be shedding within the next week i'd say. At that point it will be three weeks gone without food ( i kno they can last a while without food) i also noticed after she ate her last two mice she was drinking water more.
Should i wait til she poops to feed her ? or should i just keep feeding her ? Otherwise shes completely health!

Also to update to let people know :

- she healed very well from the mouse bite

sound like maybe constipation. you could try setting her in some warm water no higher than half her body thickness sometimes that will help. If that doesnt help im not sure how long to wait before taking her to the vet.

Most snakes don't poop when they are blue unless they really, really have to go. I wouldn't worry about it at all. When she sheds, she will poop! Inside her shed skin, if you're lucky. It is also perfectly fine for her to go that long without eating. I would never disturb a blue snake to feed it.

Water that isn't too hot for a cornsnake doesn't feel warm....
Remember, your hand isn't a thermometer.;)

Eating an adult mouse once every two weeks is a standard feeding schedule for many adult Corns. Once a week is probably overdoing it for most. Don't worry that she doesn't eat more often than once a fortnight - it's normal. Healthy adult Corns can (and do) go without eating for months sometimes.

They also don't have a pooping schedule. They go when they need to and as mentioned above, the shedding process can slow down the digestion process. I had one that used to hold it in for about a fortnight then let rip as soon as he shed. And boy, it was a corker! Sometimes this slowdown can cause Corns to refuse food.

Generally when they get constipated, they develop a bulge somewhere in the last third of their body. If you're not seeing that then I doubt constipation is an issue.

As long as she's eating reliably (once a fortnight qualifies), not regurging, doesn't have any odd bulges and her poop (when it appears) looks normal, then it all sounds perfectly fine to me.
