Today I put my snake in a opened box, that I use to feed him, but I notice that theres some tiny white ants in his tank. (I will clean his tank right now) but why this happen? the tank have a week of use. Sorry i m new :S

Those are mites.

You have to bathe the snake in warm water untill the mites drown, and you have to clean the whole tank left and right.

I have never heard of white ants in a viv. mites, and ticks are black. You may have a ants nest somewere in your house? Clean the whole viv. including hides, branches ect. and see if you can find were the ants are coming from. If they are ants try following one, it should lead you back to the nest.

I seen those when i first got my snake and asked people on here about them, there not mites because mites are black.

What bedding do you use?

No they are not normal whatever they are. Mites are very bad and can kill your snake but i don't think they are mites. They may be something to do with the bedding?

You would think that I would remember some of the bug science I immersed myself in when I was little...

Now that I think about it, I would think termites. But I wouldnt really see why there would be termites in there.

I dont know if they will harm your snake or not. Have you cleaned out the snake since you got it from the pet shop, if the bugs are in the new bag of substrate (sealed bag) they are maybe harmless but idk.

Honestly I wouldnt go to doing that, because if there are bugs in a terrarium theres a chance that they are possibly parasites, so I would get rid of them. And if they are harmless, I would still get rid of them.

While some people, a very few, like coconut bark, it does attract bugs. I would get rid of it, clean the viv and either put in paper towel or aspen.

You can also use newspaper, but I haven't myself. I've read, possibly here, that the ink won't harm your snake, but it could get 'smudged up' so to speak. Either way, I would recommend you get rid of the current substrate, and thoroughly clean the cage. Then use paper towels for a week so that it'd be easier to see if the bugs return than if you had aspen wood chips or shavings for them to hide in.
