I have been hanging out here for a while but I don't post that often. Today I decided that its time to post my introduction and a little info about myself so here it is.

My interest in snakes started at the age of 2 when my parents got me an animal encyclopedia and I memorized the names of all the snakes in it but skipped over the other animals. I caught my first snake when I was 7. Growing up in a remote area of the mojave desert gave me the opportunity to collect and keep many desert species including Crotalus, Masticophis, Pituophis, Rhinocheilus and various lizards and insects. I have also kept many of the usual pet store species (ball python, ribbon snake, garter snake, etc.).

Going to college and traveling a lot shifted my interest away from reptiles but now that I am settled down, married with kids and have some stability in my life, I am back into the hobby. I currently have 0.1 normal corn and 1.0 gray banded king snake.

This is a great forum and I am glad to be a part of it. Thanks for reading my intro, I will be seeing all of you around.

Hi! Do you have a fave site about king snakes? I'd love to learn more about other kinds. Right now I just have 0.1 Amel corn. Anyway Hope you like it here, I sure do!

The kingsnake.com/alterna page has forums, classifieds and info on gray banded king snakes but it isn't as nice as this site and the forums on kingsnake.com are nowhere near as popular as the forums here. They are more of a commercial marketplace than a species specific discussion forum but they do have a lot of good info.
