It's HOT

Just showing off some pics from today showcasing some of the hotter stuff in my collection. First up is one of my favorites to work with! :D She is a feisty little worm most of the time but that is fine with me, CBB '09 and is growing quickly.

Princess the Forest Cobra.

That viper is GORGEOUS!! The forest cobra actually looks like a cutie until I see the 2nd picture with the hood.

Pretty critters. I adore the beautiful colors that hots come in, but I'm too much of a wuss to actually deal with them, I think. Especially since I'm a fan of the mambas lol

Lexie, that is one beautiful snake too! Too bad it's another hot!

I love green on snakes. I hope to get one of the European Elaphe that are green down the road.

Oh, they are both so beautiful! Princess is adorable!! Does Mr. or Miss Beautiful have a name??

PS- go look in the Breeding section...

Thanks for the comments everybody! Lexie I would love a Sedge Viper or Usambra even I love most Pit Vipers really. I plan to add to my hot collection in a few years right now I am content with the few I have.

Nanci - Unfortunately I haven't named her yet since her future is still uncertain. I bought her at the Columbia show back in Feb. but she has yet to eat once on her own, believe me I have tried everything possible to avoid force feeding since it is much more dangerous to me and the critters involved.

Well, (since she's not a hatchling) she must have been eating before you got her. Is she WC?

Yes she is WC and I try to avoid WC hots because they can extremely difficult to get started even more so than a non hot I tend to believe. I got a pretty good deal on her and love the Cryptelytrops genus so I bit on the deal, Cryptelytrops are known to be a difficult species to begin with and they can be hit or miss even if CB.

That's a shame. I hope she starts eating for you soon, she's very pretty!

I love the Viper, and have a list of ones I'd love to own some day. I never really liked cobras, but that ones pretty cool looking. How big do the Forests get?

I never really was interested in Cobras either even when I had to train with with them but at the Columbia show some Capes caught my eye and I had the urge to get a Naja. Forest typically reach 6-7ft but can grow to 9-10ft especially the males.
